Skills:

#1 Maintain and update TRiO department website, Highline Angel: TRiO Open College 100 course, TRiO blog (thetransferexpress.com).

This includes:

- update any contents, forms, documents, videos, to the appropriate websites.

Example-
TRiO department website: the Google calendar, calendar of events, TRiO Honor Roll, TRiO Newsletter, TRiO student Profiles, TRiO articles from the Thunderword and other projects as assigned.

TRiO blog  www.thetransferexpress.com: design layout for the blog and assist in posting articles and video interviews for the blog
Highline Angel: TRiO Open College 100 course: monitor the discussion board and make updates as needed.

• Debug issues that arise with the performance of the website.
• Fix and look out for performance issues.
• Trouble shoots the websites. This involves areas including content, links. If problems arise with these areas of the site know how to will make corrections.
• Making sure content and the design is operating properly on the websites
• Plan for future changes, design and updates to the website. The improvement of the websites as a whole is a necessary consideration.
• Supervise the TRiO computer lab space.

#2 Lead other communications projects as assigned.

Knowledge of  Microsoft word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel is important.

This includes:

-Involvement in the design and layout of the TRIO Newsletter

- Template Design for Projects and Events

- Involvement in marketing student programs

Construct a mobile Facebook-only learning game to substitute flash cards.

FEATURES:

1. The purpose of the game is to learn medical/nursing abbreviations and key definitions.
2. The game is social because it has an element that allows users to quiz a friend – create a quiz of 2 definitions and 3 abbreviations and test their friends on Facebook.
3. The user will interact with the game by touching the screen of the phone. Design and ease of playing game on mobile screen is key to the success of the project.

A nature preserve in Renton seeks an intern in database development! This intern will help SHADOW to implement the Salesforce database in order to communicate effectively with contributors, volunteers and partners. By developing proficiency in working with an increasingly popular CRM tool, you gain skills that are valuable to a wide range of businesses and non-profits. 10-20 hour/week commitment required.

An information security organization seeks a web developer intern to add functionality to their website, including membership management and usability improvements. Required skills: PHP (CSCI 215 or higher), MySQL, ability to utilize and customize a CSS template. Volunteer position in Des Moines.
